Each year the Association of Psychology Students Amsterdam (VSPA) organizes an international, scientific psychology conference. This year’s subject will be the relationship between food and the mind. The way we live and eat has changed enormously in the last decades. Not only what we eat has changed, also the way we perceive what we eat has changed. In a society where abundance is apparent, it is no surprise that anti-movements and diets are rapidly gaining ground. During this conference we hope to address the subject of food and the mind from various perspectives: How does certain food cause a change in behaviour? Or how does behaviour lead to food choice? What are the implications for the society? And how nutrients influence our brain? The answer to these questions will be given in four different lectures. The duration of each lecture will be about one hour.
The conference will be held on the 19th of May in “CREA” on the Roeterseilandcomplex in Amsterdam (address: Nieuwe Achtergracht 170).
